Cool to hear. I hope you guys want to give the (free) formation judging software a chance on this next one.different judging method, which gives much more and quicker feedback on the flying compared to other methods...

The software can also be used to make formations, choose names for all flyers.

So everyone can receive the planning for the jumps/slots before the boogie already...so you just mail people the file with the planning. And everyone can open it with the software.

The software has 2 methods of judging to play with. For sure, great assist in briefing of jumps. If you have questions, just ask...also request of new features is possible (we can update the software). Looking forward to seeing great results..

Dots are placed on heads.

Even spaced circles for intented slots. Measured is deviation/distance from slot.

Circle size can be grown or shrunk to see if they are in (green) or out (red).

When everyone gets a green circle, you see the score (% complete).

Other judging methods also present in the system, for debriefing use (lines, turn black/red)

Интересное ПО. А нет в проге автоматического раставления в фигуру? Ну по типу, не визуально оценивать, кто не на своём месте, а чтоб программа сама рассчитала и показала отклонения.

Vincent, там же ж все есть, фотку подсовываешь, а дальше. кружочки только надо руками на головы людей на фотке понаводить и будет видно отклонения по цвету линий и там всплывающей подсказке. или что ты хочешь?

For judging, we only use the center of the head (eyeline is what we fly).

Use of the body size is not a good way to judge. Someone who is 1.90 will have same box/circle to fly in, compared to a 1.50 person. The small person will be allowed to move much more due to smaller size, which is incorrect.

So use of the heads allows for much cleaner (single point) judging of position. One coordinate. And person size and body position do not influence this one coordinate.

There are 2 systems in the software:

System 1 is judging by lines (distance and angle).

3 flyers in the point set the distance (blue lines), and everyone else is judges by their 'setting'. Showing red line if angle or distance is not correct.

System 2 doesnt use lines. Only points of the head and circles. It overlays 'ideal formation points' over 'actual formation points'

Size of the green circle is then adjusted to see at which point all flyers are 'in' (green).

At this point, you can see 'accuracy' of the formation in terms of % tollerance.

So we can see how perfect a formation is. 100% is not possible, but we can play and find a vallue which we call 'complete'

In case of a formation not complete, we can see it was (example) 62% complete.

2 methods have different goals. Method 1 is nicer for debrief. It shows red areas in the formation, and shows where problems are, and correct individuals get pointed out as 'not correct'. Method 1 judges the individual relative to other flyers.

Method 2 is a nicer judgement method (we think). This one judges the shape of the whole formation. But doesnt work well to show individuals to fly better to improve shape.

So both methods have advantages. Play with it. Maybe also with pictures of previous Russian records?

We tried automatic placement of lines, but this didnt work to nice. Maybe in future. For now, it requires some mouse-clicks.

But even big formations can be done in only a few minutes. With this on a big screen, everyone can see judging live. No difficult shifting around of a grid and hoping to find a placement that works. No skill required for good scores. Absolute results. If 5 people place dots, 5 people get same results.

Play with it, and if you have ideas...let us know, and we will try and update/add for the next version (free:)).

This is the programmer making his first wingsuit jump. Very methodical, and one of the best first flight performance flying Ive seen.

When I gave him compliments, he only listed what to improve on his next jump

Сайт автора лежит. В аттаче - старая бетка (перед запуском рекомендуется изменить системную дату, иначе не запустится (любая, до апреля 2010). Ярно, блин, выложи актуальный апдейт.

Author's site seems to be down, thus early beta is attached (set computer clock backdate earlier than april 2010 before starting). Jarno, an update will be nice!

В 2015 году официализировали винги и ФАИ написали единые правила для рекордных формаций, где тупо накладывается сетка на фотографию, в любой удобной программе. Сетку можно нарисовать самому, либо скачать у них в формате psd
